Nurse Preceptor Incentive Program (NPIP)

Direct incentive for eligible Virginia-licensed clinicians who provide certified nursing student clinical education rotations. Amounts will vary based on clinical rotations, with a maximum award of $5,000 for a 250-hour certified rotation. Priority will be given to preceptors who are expanding clinical education opportunities, especially in psychiatry and anesthesiology.

• Virginia-licensed physician, physician assistant, LPN, RN, or APRN
• Serve as preceptors for nursing students.
• Work with students enrolled in a Virginia public or private nonprofit school of nursing.
• Clinical rotations have been certified by the School of Nursing.
