Eligiblity

1. Applicants must have been a resident of Virginia for at least one year (The ID address must match the application address.)
2. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a practical nursing (LPN) program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing
3. Applicants must be scheduled to graduate within the next 12 months
4. Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale
5. Applicant holds a valid Social Security Number
6. Applicant agrees to the service obligation, which is one year of full-time employment as an LPN in a long-term care facility in Virginia

Long Term Care LPN Scholarship Checklist

Long Term Care LPN Guidelines

Award Amount Up to $2,000

Eligibility

1. Applicants must have been residents of Virginia for at least one year (The ID address must match the application address.)
2. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing
3. Have a valid Social Security Number
4. Applicant agrees to the service obligation, which is one year of full-time employment as a CNA in a Long-term facility in Virginia.

Long Term Care CNA Scholarship Guidelines

Award Amount Up to $2,000

Elgibility 

1. Applicants must have been a resident of Virginia for at least one year (The ID address must match the application address.)
2. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
3. Applicants must be scheduled to graduate within the next 12 months
4. Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale
5. Have a valid Social Security Number 
6. Applicant agrees to the service obligation, which is one year of full-time employment as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a long-term care facility in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Long Term Care RN Scholarship Guidelines

Award Amount Up to $2,000

Eligibility

1. Have been a resident of Virginia for at least one year (The ID address must match the application address.)
2. Hold a current, unencumbered Virginia registered nurse license.
3. Applicant is accepted into or enrolled, full-time or part-time, in an accredited nurse educator program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
4. Applicant maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
5. Applicant holds a valid Social Security Number.
6. Applicant agrees to the service obligation: two years of full-time practice as a nurse educator in a Virginia Medically Underserved Area or Health Professional Shortage Area for each award year.

Nurse Educator Scholarship Checklist

Award Amount Up to $7,000

Eligibility

1. Applicant has been a resident of Virginia for at least one year (The ID address must match the application address.)
2. Hold a current, unencumbered Virginia registered nurse license.
3. Applicant is accepted into or enrolled in a full-time or part-time accredited nurse-midwife program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
4. Applicant maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.00 scale.
5. Applicant holds a valid Social Security Number.
6. Applicant agrees to the service obligation: one year of full-time practice as a nurse midwife in a Virginia Medically Underserved Area or Health Professional Shortage Area for each award year.

Award Amount Up to $7,000

Eligibility

1. Have been a resident of Virginia for at least one year (The ID address must match the application address.)
2. Hold a current, unencumbered Virginia registered nurse license
3. Be accepted into or enrolled in (full-time or part-time) an accredited nurse practitioner program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing
4. Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.00 scale
5. Have a valid Social Security Number
6. Applicant agrees to complete one year of full-time practice as a nurse practitioner in a Virginia Medically Underserved Area or Health Professional Shortage Area for each award year.
